I'm a Seattle based designer, born and raised in northern New York, and schooled in Boston.
I spent the last year working at Microsoft Zune and Windows Mobile as a contractor doing user experience device design. Before that I was in Boston where I went to school at Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. I then did my internship and later worked at a small design studio called Emtype, there I worked on both web and print projects.
I feel that design is all around us and is part of everyday life. That has been a major influence on my thinking and designs. I have always been interested other types of design besides just graphic or web design. Some of the fields I love to look at is industrial design, internal design, architecture or anything else that can have a visual impact for our eyes. I went to a school where typography was taught that it was a very important part of design, what has been a huge influence for me. While working on the Zune team I became very interested in user experience for deceives and how we as a culture is starting to use this new technology. I feel that with all this new technology, design should be a major part of new products. For new projects the easier it is for the user to use, the new project or product can grow into the new great technology device. Design is everything, and everything is design.
